TRICENTIS goes Germany (28.02.2008)
Software quality as an export hit
The software company, which is based in Vienna and is a specialist for software quality assurance and test automation, has founded a branch office in Germany.
Since the foundation of TRICENTIS in 1997 the company has been working intensively in the field of quality assurance in software engineering and diverse test processes, methods and tools.
The success achieved on the German market and the fact that renowned major customers could be won led to the foundation of the German branch office. According to Franz Fuchsberger, CEO of TRICENTIS, the proximity to customers primarily militated in favor of an own branch in Germany: "With well-known customers like Deutsche Börse, Gematik and HUK-Coburg it became necessary to be present on site. The branch office in Hamburg is the first step towards a broad expansion to Germany."
According to DI Wolfgang Platz, founder and CEO of TRICENTIS, the company should grow continuously and particularly self-financed: "Our flagship TOSCA extremely appealed to large German companies and meanwhile we are passed on from one major customer to another by word-of-mouth recommendation. In the future we want to continuously expand internationally and aim at positioning the company directly and indirectly in Central and Eastern Europe."
TOSCA should lead to a paradigm shift in software testing and enable software test automation by testers in business units. The core idea is that business-referred and technical information is strictly separated, which allows including business unit employees in the test case creation and execution. Thus no programming is required for the test automation.
