TestCase Design AddIn
|

It's here! TOSCA is the first tool to close the test management gap in test management and to offer a fully
integrated TestCase design workbench. The workbench is available as an AddIn for TOSCA Commander and fully supports
the TOSCA Commander concepts.
We have - as always - raised the bar and incorporated new and innovative, as well as proven concepts, providing the
high level of usability you have come to expect from the TOSCA Testsuite™.

No complex guidelines. You only have to consider a few methodological principles and you are ready to start.

You can create reusable blocks (structural and equivalence classes) by drag & drop, without having to plan these in advance.

Everything you need is available in one view - there is no need to painfully gather all the information from different sources.

Capture Region
|
|
|
The complexity of applications is growing with the complexity of available programming languages. Due to the high
number of detected controls, it can take several minutes to capture comprehensive screens in SAP and HTML
environments. An effort that is not necessarily required if the user only needs parts of the screen for the
automation.
TRICENTIS tackled this issue and implemented the "Capture Region" feature for SAP and HTML technologies.
With the TOSCA Wizard, it is now possible to select a region of your application and only capture specific
controls.

WebAccess in Firefox 3.0
|
|
|
|
In the last issue of our newsletter and with the last release of TOSCA Testsuite™, version 6.4.0, we introduced the
new TOSCA web interface. With the new release, you can use TOSCA WebAccess with the latest version of Firefox.

New setup
|
|
|
With the new release of the TOSCA Testsuite™, version 6.4.1, the setup is delivered as a standard MSI (Windows
Installer) package, so that our customers are provided with an updatable installation. The changes in the setup
process will take effect with the next release, as the standard MSI functions for updates and patches will be able
to be used for existing installations. You will experience the benefits of the simple update process when you
upgrade to future versions of the TOSCA Testsuite™.

Database adaptor
|
|
|
|
With the TOSCA Testsuite™, users are not limited to testing graphical user interfaces. Previous TOSCA versions
already supported the execution of database interactions. The completely redesigned Database adaptor offers
improved modularization and flexible application possibilities. Database tables and views can be mapped in TOSCA
with the TOSCA Wizard. The technical information (SQL statements) is not relevant for business users and can
therefore be abstracted. All database interactions (read and verify, modify, insert, delete, etc.) can be used
intuitively in TOSCA on the business level. You can get started instantly with the sample TestCases provided by
TRICENTIS.
