Transaction-Safe Multiuser-Handling
TOSCA offers full, transaction-safe support for multiuser testing:
- Our net-repositories are file- or database-based.
- The check-out-/check-in-concept helps to avoid editing by mistake. This concept is a great advantage over other tools and makes transaction-safe test management in large projects possible.

Manual Test Execution
- TOSCA supports the collection and execution of manual tests efficiently in TOSCA Commander.
- With the TOSCA XML interface your test case requirements can be imported to TOSCA and combined with an effective management shield.
- We have a bidirectional MS Word interface (optional MS Excel) for test collection and execution to support specialized fields in your common tool environment.
- Manual test cases can be converted to automated test cases without any problems if requested.
- TOSCA treats manual and automated test cases equally; test results are being reported and kept in the repository.
- A test case in TOSCA can consist of a mix of manual and automated test steps.
- Bidirectional interface for the exchange of manual test cases and results between MS Word and TOSCA
Risk-based Test Management with Requirements-AddIn
- In TOSCA Requirements-AddIn you can arrange the applications you want to test according to functional aspects in a tree structure. The lowest level of this tree structure contains use cases or technical requirements. For their coverage test cases need to be defined.
- The different nodes of the tree are evaluated in accordance with the business risk, which represents the particular functionality.
- We enable a comprehensive, risk-based reporting of the current quality of your tested system that is accessible at any time.
- The test coverage can be determined at any time.
- With the TOSCA XML interface requirements can be imported from other tools, like Requirement Management Systems, Quality Center (RequisitePro), or simply from MS Word or Excel.

Integration in Your Defect Management
- We use AddIns to link your established defect management tool with TOSCA.
- TOSCA can recognize a lot of defect management tool out of the box. Yours is not among them? No problem – within a few days our technical experts will provide a tailored add-in for your system.
- On demand the connection is bidirectional: New defects that are detected by TOSCA are transferred to your defect management system and from the current corrections we produce an execution list for retest.
- Bidirectional integration to Quality Center available.

Plug In and Test: Offline Test via USB
- Automated tests are especially efficient, when the functionality needs to be tested in different operating systems, browsers, computer configurations etc. Some configurations require a minimal influence on the computer configuration of the test tool.
- With the TOSCA USB license tests can be executed via USB stick.
- With a few clicks you can load the test cases to execute via USB stick.
- To execute the tests simply connect the stick to a computer. The test results will be saved on the stick.
- On a “standard“ test computer the test results will be consolidated within TOSCA Commander.
