It has been a thrilling week at the Tricentis headquarters here in Vienna, filled with awards and exciting innovations as we celebrated our semi-annual Tricentis GIG.

“Tricentis was named this week by IT Central Station as one of the Top 5 Testing Tools of 2015.  IT Central Station offers a crowd sourced platform where users are able to share their reviews and experiences about products available in the enterprise tech community. This year, IT Central Station compiled 42,000 user views of the top Testing Tools available in 2014 in order to determine how vendors fared over the course of the year.  Tricentis’ Tosca Testsuite, placed fourth place overall, but dominates the list as the top rated test automation tool.”*

The GIG, our version of an internal hack-a-thon, gives anyone and everyone in the company the opportunity to sketch out their ideas, develop prototypes, and consume large quantities of pizza before pitching their projects to the executive team for judging. In the past the GIG has resulted in some of the most exciting new features of Tosca Testsuite.

This year saw fierce competition with over 15 brilliant projects pitched, the final award going to Markus Hoffmann and Alex Schrei with their project titled “Tosca Play”. Martin Steiner and Thomas Stocker came in second and third respectively, with their projects “Image Based Control Type Recognition” and “Smart Identification”.

Congratulations to the winners, we can’t wait to see your ideas implemented!

We are also excited to be celebrating with Lev Kushnir, a senior test consultant at Tricentis, over his phenomenal performance with the E.U. Single Europe Payments Area (SEPA) Project and subsequent award from A1 Telecom. Lev acted as the Test Manager of the SEPA Project, a comprehensive, multi-year project that revolutionizes the way the European Union approaches banking transactions. The concept, now well known to anyone living within the E.U. affects over 500 million citizens and 20 million businesses. Source

As the Test Manager of this transformative undertaking, Lev acted as a key player, ensuring the success and efficiency of the SEPA Project’s testing efforts while simultaneously juggling 3+ parallel projects for A1 Telecom.

This past February the SEPA Project was nominated for the A1 Project Excellence Award, making it all the way to the finals and ultimately placing second overall.

Congratulations Lev! The award is well deserved!
