One of the latest additions to the Tricentis Virtual Summit lineup is Microsoft DevOps cloud evangelist/rockstar Abel Wang. Tricentis has a close partnership with Microsoft and a long-standing history of building upon Microsoft platforms such as .NET and Azure. We’re excited that we were able to tap this relationship to bring you one of the industry’s most engaging speakers on DevOps and the cloud – straight to your desk on October 20 (Americas), October 21 (Europe), or October 22 (Asia-Pacific).
Abel is a Principal Cloud Advocate and DevOps Lead at Microsoft, specializing in DevOps and Azure with a background in application development. He is currently part of Donovan Brown’s League of Extraordinary Cloud DevOps Advocates. Before joining Microsoft, Abel spent seven years as a Process Consultant and a Certified Scrum Master helping customers globally develop solutions using agile practices and Team Foundation Server. Prior to that, Abel founded and sold his own software company. When not working, Abel is either writing code (yes, that’s what he does for fun), playing his guitar or training for The Great Wall Marathon. Recently winning his fight against cancer, Abel spits in the face of cancer and will never quit.
That’s the official bio, at least. But you probably know him as the host of The DevOps Lab (and, since COVID, the guy with all the cool guitars).
At Tricentis Virtual Summit, Abel will be presenting on Quality in a cloud DevOps world: An inside look at how Microsoft does it. Here’s the abstract:
In the year 2020, DevOps is no longer a nice to have. It’s an absolute necessity…but it’s not easy. How do you keep your frequent small releases from constantly releasing bugs into production? And how do you juggle it all with a cloud transformation at the same time? Microsoft had to ask themselves these very questions when they transformed themselves from waterfall to DevOps, monolithic on-prem applications to apps in the cloud. In this talk, Abel shares how Microsoft continuously delivers value – with high quality – in this new cloud DevOps world we live in. You’ll learn key strategies you can apply to your own cloud and DevOps transformations.
Here are some quick previews of Abel in action…
