Introducing Sharable, Self-paced Learning with #TestingTidbits

Ingo Philipp spends a lot of time teaching others about testing. And while he covers a wide range of topics, there’s common theme prevalent in all of his lessons; that the best testers—and instructors—never stop learning.

“It took me quite some time to realize that testing is so much more than automation,” says Philipp. “Testing is about collecting information about anything that might threaten the value of our software products. It’s a by-product of critical thinking and an open-ended, intellectual activity.”

As for where testers can go to collect the information that could improve their own testing efforts, there are an endless array of recorded keynotes, training classes, and books out there, many of which Ingo and the rest of us at Tricentis highly recommend diving into. But oftentimes, a single thought, question, or observation would unexpectedly drop into Ingo’s lap, and he wondered how best to share them with his testing peers.

So, in the spirit of software testing’s open-ended, curious, and creative nature, Ingo recently launched what he’s calling #TestingTidbits: “tiny bits of sharable information designed to help you remember the real point of software testing.”

We’re excited to share these #TestingTidbits in 2019 through Tricentis’ social channels (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) and we hope that you’ll do the same with your own followers!
