Tricentis Test Data Service (TDS) helps make stateful test data available and consumable for your whole testing ecosystem in an efficient and reliable manner. This service includes an intuitive web UI and a flexible REST API that’s accessible for both manual and automated testing with Tricentis Tosca.
This 2020 February release we’ve made some UI changes, administrative enhancements, and security improvements to better manage your test data repositories.
Enhanced UI and administration
In the past, we could only edit or delete repositories stored in TDS through the TDS API. We’ve enhanced the UI so you can edit and delete repositories now either through the UI and API This helps teams easily update repositories through multiple channels.
Check out the video below for a TDS overview including the new UI enhancements.
Tighter authorization policies and controls
If you wish to isolate test data repositories from different project teams, you can accomplish this now in the 2020 February release. By simply activating the authorization for a repository you can assign detailed user permissions for reading and writing test data. If you want to lock or unlock records via the web UI you can do that now for all records in a type.
Watch the video below as we walk through how to activate test data authentication and assign user rights to specific data repositories.
