The top 10 software testing conferences to attend in 2020

It’s that time of year again — we’re back with our list of the top 10 software testing conferences to attend in 2020. These conferences will offer you and your team opportunities to see what’s new, connect and collaborate with others, uncover ideas and spark inspiration – all of which can help you make sure that your organization’s quality strategy is staying relevant.  

Now is the time to map out the conference opportunities you’d like to take advantage of in 2020 — here are 10 of our top picks (in no particular order) to help you get started:  

1. Atlassian Summit U.S.   

This year, Atlassian returns to Las Vegas to hold its U.S. Summit March 31 through April 2. Their message for 2020 is “celebrating team innovation” through many invigorating sessions and hands-on training opportunities. Tricentis will be a sponsor of this year’s Summit — be sure to stop by our booth to say hello and see what’s new with Tricentis qTest’s real-time Jira integration.  

2. STAREAST and STARWEST 2020

3. Tricentis Accelerate

4. Velocity Conference 

Velocity 2020 is scheduled for June 15-18 in Santa Clara, Calif., and Nov. 16-19 in Berlin, Germany. The event, also called the O’Reilly Infrastructure & Ops Conference, is designed to provide the training and tools needed to successfully manage existing legacy systems while migrating to modern, scalable infrastructure. This event offers anyone involved in software testing a great opportunity to learn how others have effectively accomplished this modernization without interrupting their business processes or exposing critical errors.  

5. DevOps World | Jenkins World  

Although September 21-24, 2020 seems like a long time from now, the DevOps World| Jenkins World conference being held in Las Vegas will be here before you know it. This conference boasts hundreds of business and technical breakout sessions, in-depth workshops and opportunities to receive tips and best practices from the brightest minds in DevOps.  

6. SAPPHIRE NOW 

Hosted by SAP and the Americas’ SAP Users’ Group (AUSG) on May 12-14, SAPPHIRE NOW is a software conference that anyone responsible for maintaining the quality of their enterprise’s SAP systems needs to attend. 7. SauceCon  

Join a worldwide group of Sauce Labs users and automated testing leaders in Austin on April 27-29 for the annual SauceCon conference. This mobile testing-focused conference will host diverse keynote presentations and lots of speakers, providing a space for teams to unite together to learn how to improve their automated testing and continuous delivery practices. Also, this year SauceCon is offering onsite childcare!  

8. QA Financial Forum 

Paris. Milan. New York. London. Chicago. These are the locations of the forum style conferences from QA Financial, which offer smaller, in-depth sessions to examine QA challenges in the context of compliance in the financial industry. Check the website for dates occurring throughout the first half of 2020.  

9. DevOps Enterprise Summit (DOES) 

Occurring in London (June 23-25) and Las Vegas (Sept. 22-24) in 2020, the DevOps Enterprise Summit (DOES) is a three-day learning experience focused on the many facets of DevOps in the enterprise. Attendees will be able to gain crucial knowledge about industry changes that are shaping large organizations. DOES also draws a diverse demographic, offering valuable information for executives and engineers alike.  

10. Automation Guild 

Automation Guild is back for its fourth annual conference, an entirely online event occurring February 3-5. This event will feature over 20 of the top testing experts who will share some of their best test automation secrets. Automation Guild will also give attendees the ability to ask questions live during sessions, as well as recordings of the event and access to a private Slack channel.
