Tosca’s AI is coming to on-premises deployments this fall

This fall, Tosca’s suite of AI capabilities will be available for on-premises deployments — giving teams the tools to meet the pressure of the AI era head-on. Customers will gain access to leading AI features, including Agentic Test Automation, AI-powered test creation, MCP connectivity, and AI Workspace, no matter their deployment type or existing infrastructure.

Tosca AI, now on-prem

On-premises users will gain access to the following capabilities this fall:

• MCP Services: Connects your own AI models to Tosca.
• Agentic Test Automation: Autonomously generates test cases from natural language prompts.
• AI Chat: Uses context-aware agents to convert requirements into ready-to-run manual test cases.

Together with AI Workspace – the orchestration hub for Tricentis and custom quality agents – these AI features are designed to address the biggest challenges that rapid AI adoption has introduced to QA.

Tosca Commander customers will soon have access to qTest’s Agentic Test Creation via AI Chat. When using the chat, customers are interfacing with context-aware agents that can turn a plain language Jira requirement into a manual test case, ready to be run and saved in Tosca Commander. AI Chat also works in the other direction for users. Via the chat interface, Agentic Test Automation can access manual tests in qTest and convert them to automated test cases. Throughout, AI Chat keeps track of used AI credits for customers, showing how many they’ve been allocated and how many they’ve used.

For teams sitting on a backlog of manual assets, this cuts time spent on both test case creation and conversion significantly. Teams can test AI-authored code without adding headcount and can stay focused on review and oversight rather than test authoring.

Discovery and gap analysis with MCP

Model Context Protocol (MCP), available in both Tosca Commander and soon in Tosca’s SaaS deployment, lets teams connect their own AI models to Tosca and run plain-language queries across third-party systems and Tosca itself. This means that testers can ask the AI Chat a question — “Which modules aren’t covered by any active tests? Which requirements have no test cases mapped to them?” — and have an answer in seconds. Rather than taking hours to cross-reference across applications, a quick query can navigate through reams of institutional data and uncover risks that were previously impossible to detect.

And because Tosca and Tricentis Data Integrity share the same technology foundation, these MCP capabilities extend to data testing as well, giving teams a single AI interface for both application and data quality.

Governance at scale with AI Workspace

This fall, on-premises Tosca customers will also gain access to AI Workspace, the orchestration layer that brings the modern QA team together.
