The new Tricentis Tosca 11.0 release extends Tricentis’ industry-leading Continuous Testing platform, empowering enterprises to transform testing for Agile and DevOps. With this new release, enterprises can now:
Now that mobile applications have become the primary interface to online services, delivering an exceptional experience has become a top business priority.
With exploratory testing for mobile applications, Tricentis Tosca customers can now easily plan exploratory test sessions for mobile applications, automatically record test actions with annotated screenshots and videos, and instantly share detailed results—all from the mobile device. By encouraging team members with different perspectives to collaborate on testing, you expose more defects and provide quality feedback faster.
Selenium WebDriver has become the standard for cross-browser testing. Tricentis Tosca now enables testers to take advantage of Selenium while maintaining the ease and stability of Tricentis’ scriptless model-based test automation. Without having to write or maintain a single script, Tricentis Tosca users will be able to take advantage of the broad browser support available with Selenium execution, device clouds that provide access to hundreds of additional browser configurations, and Selenium Grid’s power to accelerate testing with parallel execution.
Tricentis Tosca’s new Mobile Engine makes it even simpler for Tricentis Tosca users to integrate mobile testing into their broader testing strategy. Mobile tests are created just like UI tests in a business-readable interface. No scripting or instrumentation is required. The resulting tests can be executed across a broad array of real devices, simulators, emulators. Thanks to Appium, the latest OS versions are rapidly supported. With mobile support driven by Appium, Tricentis Tosca users can now access device labs (e.g., Mobile Labs, Sauce Labs, TestObject) which allows you to “rent” access to the various mobile environments that are needed to execute your test plan.
Continuous Testing is a process that involves more than creating and executing tests. The new test planning capability gives testers constant visibility into what testing activities are needed–directly in testers’ familiar work environment. New test planning capabilities deliver real-time insight into test activity progress, making it easy to stay on track and optimize the limited time available to test in today’s compressed development processes.
With the new release, you can now create issue proposals and restrict the recording to specific apps in the Windows environment. These new exploratory testing features enable broader collaboration across project stakeholders. This release also introduces features to simplify defect documentation—allowing test participants to document findings and share with developers more rapidly.
Tricentis Tosca 11.0 introduces usability enhancements, including a redesigned user interface (UI), optimized performance for the end-to-end BI/Data warehouse testing process, and new productivity tools.
Tricentis Tosca 11.0 makes it faster and easier to use Orchestrated Service Virtualization Testing. You can leverage the same business view developed during API testing to create and manage Service Virtualization scenarios. This allows Service Virtualization scenarios to be maintained by the broader team.
Tricentis Tosca Analytics provides unprecedented visibility into test results as well as the overall testing process. Tricentis Tosca Analytics now features the following enhancements that help enterprises translate test findings into actionable insights.
The following enhancements makes it easier to test databases:

By using Distributed Execution (DEX), enterprises significantly accelerate their test execution. The following enhancements extend DEX security, scalability, and ease of use:
Performance testing has usually been afterthought allowing little to no time to address application performance before deploying into production.
With Tricentis Tosca 11.0, we are announcing early access to the integration of recently acquired Flood.io and Tricentis Tosca Continuous Testing platform enabling customers run performance tests early and continuously so that rapid software releases don’t compromise the end user experience. This integration will help customers run the scriptless functional API test as load test delivering on the Tricentis vision of one test definition for all testing.
