Expand end-to-end SAP testing with most comprehensive SAP testing solution

Tricentis Tosca is the industry’s top end-to-end test automation solutionfor multiple generations of commonly-used SAP technologies and user interfaces. It enables automated testing of complete business processes, which may include mobile UIs, web services, ESBs, APIs, web UIs, mainframes, databases and big data platforms in addition to SAP technologies.

In this release, Tricentis strengthens the SAP technology testing coverage by adding support for SAP WinGUI 7.5 and enhancing SAP Fiori 2.0 support for Web Dynpro ABAP object recognition. Tricentis also introduces multiple improvements to the integration with SAP Solution Manager 7.2 by adding bi-directional synchronization of the SAP Solution Documentation with Tosca and enabling Tosca risk-based assessment to speed up the test planning in SAP Solution Manager.

With this release, the modernized self-service Test Data Management solution improves the user experience for distributed teams working with multiple components of the Continuous Testing Platform. It also introduces an open API that allows development, testing and DevOps teams to provide and create test data programmatically.

Test planning enhancements

Tricentis Tosca’s test planning capability provides testers constant visibility into what testing activities are needed and real-time insight into the test activity progress— making it easy to stay on track and optimize the testing process.

Version 11.1 introduces numerous usability enhancements to the test planning capabilities. Tricentis Tosca users can now track all their tasks in their own user area. They can create, update, and view bookmarks to various testing activities in this new user area. In addition, the new Gantt charts provide an overview of the test plan and associated activities.

Expanded mobile testing support

Tricentis Tosca Mobile Testing, an integral part of Tricentis Continuous Testing Platform, helps automate the testing of mobile applications as part of end-to-end test scenarios that might involve mobile UIs, other UIs, APIs, SAP, and other enterprise technologies. This new release supports Genymotion, the most powerful Android emulation platform for app developers & testers, allowing Tricentis Tosca users to efficiently test Android apps. Leveraging the power of Appium and combining it with the flexibility and reusability of Tricentis Tosca’s scriptless Model-based Test Automation, Tricentis now delivers a comprehensive test automation solution for native, hybrid and mobile web applications.
