I am excited to share that Tricentis has acquired Waldo, a mobile test automation platform. Waldo complements and extends our existing Tricentis mobile testing offerings with new test automation capabilities that will allow our customers to deliver higher quality mobile applications.
Mobile applications are a central part of our lives, enabling business operations, accelerating communications around the world, and providing an effortless way to connect and collaborate. It is no surprise that according to Statista, mobile devices now generate most of the global website traffic. The number and complexity of mobile applications continues to increase with no signs of slowing down. However, organizations across all industries face growing challenges achieving mobile application quality.
Waldo addresses these challenges by providing SaaS-based test automation that allows development teams to author and execute mobile tests more quickly and ensure quality is validated with every commit as part of their continuous integration workflow. Through Waldo’s set up and management of virtual devices, development teams can focus on building applications instead of maintaining test infrastructure.
What Waldo brings to Tricentis
Waldo brings several critical new capabilities to Tricentis:
- Increased flexibility and speed. Waldo makes it easy to author end-to-end mobile tests directly from a web browser. Development teams create tests using a no-code platform to automate reliable testing and deliver high-quality mobile applications.
- Improved quality and accelerated releases. Leveraging cloud-based, virtual mobile devices enables organizations to quickly test their native, hybrid, and web applications across an assortment of iOS and Android devices and configurations. Dashboards and reporting provide the visibility to identify critical bugs and track the health of mobile applications.
- Integrated test automation. As part of an end-to-end agile development and CI/CD release process, Waldo supports leading development frameworks (including Flutter, Ionic, React native, and more) and integrates with CI tools, source code management, and collaboration software.
Along with Tricentis Testim Mobile and Tricentis Tosca Mobile, Waldo adds unmatched value to the Tricentis mobile application testing offerings and AI-based test automation platform. Developers gain simplicity and speed authoring tests for mobile applications, and power and flexibility through execution on a virtual device cloud.
I am pleased to welcome Waldo to the Tricentis family and look forward to seeing our mobile vision and portfolio continue to grow, delivering greater value and quality to our customers.
