In today’s fast-paced, multi-application enterprise software landscape, speed and precision are essential. That’s why value-added resellers (VAR) like Merito are making strategic moves to keep up with growing customer demand and working with partners to expand their capabilities.

Through its partnership with Tricentis, Merito has found a quality engineering leader with a cutting-edge testing platform that enables the reseller to help enterprises navigate the complex software development lifecycle and create more customer business value. Tricentis’ cross-functional tools and solutions ensure Merito can unlock new levels of efficiency, scalability, and satisfaction for its customers.

How a broadened solution portfolio with Tricentis transforms a VAR’s marketing position

As a tool-agnostic reseller of high-impact solutions, Merito bridges the gap between legacy software testing and rapid delivery. Merito’s partnership with Tricentis began in 2017 and since that time the value-added reseller has increased its offerings to include custom workflow configurations, implementations at scale, training programs to shorten upskilling, and integrations that preserve data integrity during migrations.

Merito’s relationship with Tricentis originated through client-led engagements where Merito was tasked with implementing Tricentis Tosca and qTest. Merito has since expanded its use of Tricentis tools to include Testim, SeaLights, NeoLoad, and Data Integrity.

The Tricentis partnership has enabled the value-added reseller to offer its clients additional solutions that might otherwise require separate vendor relationships. Merito views Tricentis as a one-stop shop for high-quality testing tools that deliver more test coverage with less manual effort. This unified approach simplifies vendor management for its customers, lessens complexity, and drives faster, more reliable testing outcomes.

The Tricentis suite of solutions allows Merito’s customers to catch more defects before they hit production, release faster, and operate with greater confidence. The approach not only makes Merito look great in the eyes of its clients but also elevates clients’ internal champions, proving the value of modern testing strategies to key stakeholders.

Merito attributes its ability to expand its reach and engage with new audiences to the support from Tricentis partner marketing. The reseller has found value in learning new marketing techniques that challenge it to think differently as well as from co-marketing efforts for webinars, joint campaigns, and in-person events.

Merito is proud to be a certified Tricentis Partner and was recognized with the Tricentis Solutions Partner Award in 2023 and the AMS Workday Partner of the Year in 2025.

Driving measurable outcomes in quality engineering

A large enterprise operating in a highly regulated industry faced increasing pressure to release more systems faster without compromising quality. The organization maintained a complex ecosystem of mission-critical healthcare applications, including a core platform with over 250 integrated, downstream systems. However, its testing efforts were entirely manual, with full regression cycles taking four to six weeks, consuming significant cross-functional resources and often resulting in delayed defect detection, increased rework, and limited test coverage.

To modernize its testing lifecycle, the enterprise used a quality engineering framework supported by Tricentis Tosca and qTest. Merito transformed the organization’s approach to quality engineering and enabled continuous testing aligned with enterprise DevOps initiatives.

Merito’s solution and Tricentis’ tools provided a scalable foundation to support continuous testing and business agility, while aligning with long-term digital transformation goals. Automation reduced the burden of manual validation, improved time-to-market, and delivered quantifiable improvements across cost, coverage, and reliability, including:

  • Decrease in test cycle duration from four to six weeks to less than 10 days
  • 75% reduction in manual test cases volume
  • 64% improvement in end-to-end coordination and throughput
  • 58% improvement in defect resolution time from approximately 48 people hours to less than 20 hours
  • More than $800,000 saved annually in operational and labor costs

Driving the future of enterprise quality with Tricentis

Moving forward, Merito is focused on AI-enabled testing with Tosca Vision AI to improve its customers’ outcomes. For example, it had a customer struggling with automation and managing brittle test cases due to changing object identifiers and dynamic behavior. The customer had an incredibly dynamic application that had stumped previous automation attempts from other vendors.

Merito suggested Tosca with its AI-powered object recognition capabilities. Within days, the customer’s automation was not only stable, but their test coverage grew exponentially. Because Tosca is user-friendly, other business users across the organization began automating their own non-quality assurance related tasks with the tool. One analyst shared that they had a daily report that was so error-prone and time-consuming they gave up trying to automate it previously. However, it was automated on the first try with Tosca, cutting the workload by two hours each week.

Looking ahead, Merito is building accelerators that connect the Tricentis platform with DevOps practices across Salesforce, SAP, and Workday environments, while expanding industry-specific playbooks for high-tech, healthcare, aerospace, and finance.

Together, Merito and Tricentis empower organizations to achieve higher-quality releases with lower operational overhead and greater scalability, redefining enterprise quality as faster, smarter, and aligned to business outcomes.
