BREAKING NEWS: Software Bugs Declared an Endangered Species

Software Bugs finally added to the federal register of endangered species.

Vienna, Austria: Activist groups picketed outside of the Tricentis headquarters in Vienna, Austria this Wednesday after the public was informed of the new endangered status of software bugs. Crowds outside of the Tricentis headquarters began gathering at 9:00 a.m., growing larger as the news quickly circulated. By 9:30 a.m. the building security personnel had called the police to provide support in ensuring that the protest remained peaceful.

“This is a catastrophe”, one picketer said. “One species of software bugs being endangered is bad enough, but this is much, much worse. They are saying that over 500 types of software bugs are on the edge of extinction. This must be stopped.”

By 10:00 a.m. the crowds of protesters had grown larger, beginning to obstruct the entrance to the office building. “This is a real nuisance,” said one of the building tenants who works on another floor. “I don’t even work for Tricentis, but now I have a hard time even getting through the front door of the building. They must be doing their job really efficiently for this many people to be angry about these software bugs.”

At 11:00 a.m. the crowd became noticeably more vocal, leading chants of “Bugs have feelings too! Save the software bugs!” while protesters hoisted signs depicting pictures of their favorite bugs.

Just after 11:30 a.m. Tosca Bot made an appearance to speak to the crowds, delivering a stirring speech on how the absence of software bugs results in the betterment of software and world peace as whole. Though not all of the activists appeared entirely convinced by the speech, the crowds began to thin and disperse soon after 12:30 p.m. for lunch time.

As of yet Tricentis has not released a public statement regarding this endangerment of the software bugs, though many are beginning to speculate that this was the Tosca Testsuite’s master plan all along.

Have a happy April 1st! Prank responsibly!
