May 2020 Release Introduces Tricentis data integrity testing + cross-platform enhancements

The Tricentis Platform May 2020 release includes some important changes to our data integrity capability, as well as a host of improvements across the Tricentis Platform. We’ve outlined the major highlights below. For the complete list of updates, read the release notes.

Important updates to Tricentis BI/DWH testing

Tricentis BI/DWH is now Tricentis Data Integrity! But don’t worry: Tricentis DI still has all of the same BI and data warehouse testing capabilities as before, plus some new ones. In the May release, we have introduced enhanced remote comparison capabilities that improve BI/DWH test coverage and make the process more efficient. Major enhancements across Tricentis Tosca

We have made several important enhancements to Tricentis Tosca, inluding:

  • Improved JSON import for TDS
  • User administration redesign
  • Self-RDP functionality
  • “Select-on-screen” feature for mobile testing

An improved automation recording experience

In our last release, we introduced the Tricentis Automation Recording Assistant (ARA), which makes it easy for business users to record test cases that can then be automated in Tosca. In the May release, we have improved the continuous recording experience and extended ARA support to Salesforce applications.

Administration improvements & enhanced integrations for qTest

The May Tricentis qTest release includes significant administration enhancements that make it faster and easier to assign projects and permissions.

LiveCompare extends impact analysis capabilities

In the last release, Tricentis LiveCompare introduced a feature that enables you to track the most-at-risk application areas over time, as well as enhanced data integration capabilities. But the LiveCompare team didn’t stop there. Here are a few of the enhancements we’ve introduced with the May release:

  • Authorization NOTE impact analysis
  • API impact analysis (web services)
  • SAP certification
