We are excited to announce the 2023.2 release of Tricentis LiveCompare! In the world of SAP testing and analysis, data security is paramount. In this latest release, LiveCompare offers a robust data masking feature that empowers you to safeguard sensitive information, ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, and customize data obfuscation. What’s more, LiveCompare goes beyond security to provide business-critical insights through Release Impact Analysis and agile data workflows with Smart Impact Changes.

Here’s a glimpse of what’s new in 2023.2.

Enhanced data security with LiveCompare Data Masking

LiveCompare takes data security seriously, especially when dealing with sensitive SAP data. With our Data Masking feature, you can protect confidential information during testing and analysis. The Data Masking feature brings you:

  • Obscured sensitive data: Our Data Masking functionality allows you to obscure, ensuring that sensitive information such as personal identifiers or financial data remains confidential and compliant with data protection regulations. With LiveCompare, data comparisons are done before masking.
  • Compliance and privacy: Data Masking in LiveCompare helps you maintain compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR. You can confidently perform tests and analyses without risking the exposure of sensitive data.
  • Flexible masking options: LiveCompare provides flexible masking options, enabling you to customize the level of data obfuscation according to your specific requirements. Whether it’s masking entire columns or specific data elements, you have control over how data is protected.

Increased testing coverage and prioritization based on risk

The Solution Manager Integration in LiveCompare now searches SAP Solution Manager Test Plans for used executables to find the “runnable” tests. These have a distinct path in the results, so when used with Impact Analysis it is straightforward to only consider runnable tests as hits.

The Search Test Repository action has been updated to search test plans in SAP Solution Manager Test Repositories to find test hits. This feature expands our support for those who would like to search their SAP Solution Manager Documentation for tests that contain most-at-risk SAP executables.

Ensure business-critical discoveries for testers

LiveCompare’s Tester Business Critical feature is designed to help testers pinpoint the most critical capabilities that require immediate attention. By identifying the most-at-risk transactions and their related tests, LiveCompare ensures that you can make well-informed decisions about where to focus your testing efforts, prioritizing the Business Scenario transactions that SMEs and functional testers need.

  • Smart Impact precision: Selecting a “Tester Business Critical” checkbox within a pipeline fine-tunes Smart Impact results for more relevant testing. Automated identification of critical objects prioritizes the most important components, streamlining your testing process.
  • Customize your Test Events: When creating or editing a pipeline, you now have full control over where your Test Events are created in your Tosca Test Repository. The Test Events Path field empowers you to specify the exact folder location, giving you greater flexibility and organization in your testing processes.
  • Expanded possibilities: We’ve removed restrictions in the Business Critical Objects field within the Studio’s Pipeline Editor. You now have the freedom to select a wider range of External Data Sources, providing greater flexibility in your testing configurations.
